The Balancing Stones Sculpture Writing Project
FEBRUARY - MARCH 2017
Good Evening everyone ~ We are writing in our Journals, and we've taken the time to really think about the topic we are writing on. Using our Stone 6 as a model for our great one page journal composition. We've worked on one page in our Journals already, and we are moving on to our next step, which is Stone 7.
If you had to do some editing on your first page, then you will have a 2nd page in your Journal which consists of your editing job of your page one. You may look back at the last Blog post for an example of my Journal topic for my Stone 6, which happened to be on the writing topic of "Therapy" from the angle of a Novelist.
We had several participants that gave examples of what their topics were for their Stone 6, and the angle from which they were writing. The following are some of the examples . . .
PARTICIPANT STONE 6 TOPIC ANGLE
Carla Mitchell Skill Mechanical Writer
Jordan Langston Weather News Reporter
Barbara Harriston Relationship Romance Writer
David Carter Condensation Researcher
Melonie Hopkins Arctic Travel Reporter
James Holloway Yoruba Cultural-Religious Writer
Norman Jamison Esau Poet
René Allen Therapy Novelist
Needless to say, the above participants had a variety of topics and angles from which they were writing their one page in their Journals.
The example I left everyone with in our last Blog post was from the angle of a Novelist, and the Journal page that I shared with all the Writers here working on this Project was written as a page out of a Novel.
From the above list of participants came very interesting examples of Journal pages taking into account the angle from which they were writing.
Our next step is to take another look at the Journal page that we wrote, and get ready to jump into Stone 7:
INSTRUCTION: From your writing, please pull out one word that will take you from your Stone 6 into a deeper writing about your Stone 6 topic.
HELP TIP: My Stone 6 word was "Therapy". From my Journal page, I pulled out the word, “Behaviorism".
Please place the next word that you pulled out from your Journal page onto your Balancing Stones Sculpture print-out as your Stone 7 word. Your Stone 7 should be directly above or to the left or right of your Stone 6 -- (your choice as to positioning).
Here is how my Balancing Stones Sculpture print-out now looks . . .

STONE 7
Now that we have made it to our Stone 7, we are now going to pull out our Journals and write another page in our Journal about the topic of our Stone 7 word. This should be a very enjoyable process. As we are now learning how to go deeper with our writing skills, we will also learn more about how we think as a Writer.
Happy Writing ~ See you back here tomorrow with your Journals!
Peace, Love & Light,
