Getting the words down for your Novel
Blog Session
July 2017
Writers it's time to get more words written for your magnificent Novel. No matter how many words you have written thus far, you are only at the beginning of the month of July. You have until July 31st to get your Novel honed into a shape that is pleasing to you. You may have moments when you do some immediate edits so that your Novel will flow toward the path you are destining for it to head in.
If you've listed all of your Characters, you can bet a few others may show up on the page as you continue writing.
You may also have some unexpected places pop into view, and some scenes that you may not have planned for. That's good! Add them in, and keep writing.
In our last Blog Session, there were links listed so that you could get right over to Camp NaNoWriMo where many Writers are plugging away at their Novels and Writing Projects. Feel free to add in any comments, questions or thoughts here on the Blog in the "Comments Section" about how it is going for you over in the Camp.
Don't forget to check your "Camp Inbox" each time you check into the Camp to see what is in your mailbox. You'll find daily Camp Care Packages. You'll find lots of good tips to help you with your writing right in your Camp Inbox.
You'll also find news about Virtual Camp Write-Ins and Tweet Chats. There will be Writing Challenges to help you along your way.
Be sure to check out all of the inside links after you have signed into Camp NaNoWriMo. There is "Inspiration", "Conversation", "Camp Store", and a "Donation" area for you to learn about donating and fundraising.
Cat Novelist
Let everyone in your life know about your Novel or Writing Project. You can also add your pets in your story.
It is also fun to invite your friends and family members to try their hand at writing over in Camp NaNoWriMo. You'll have lots of fun chatting about how your writing is coming along.
I'm writing away, and I'll be adding in more Chapters to my Novel in the next few days. I've yet to add in my Excerpt, but that will also be done soon.
Some of you may have already found that special time where you can write without interruptions. Good for you!
Just remember, you can write your Novel or Writing Project in your Word Program on your computer then transfer your writing over to Camp NaNoWriMo when you are ready. You'll be able to update your word count, which is found at the top of your Camp page where it says, "Current Word Count" -- you'll see your word count in a white box, and an "Update" button to press when you are ready to enter in more of your Novel.
If you happen to be away from your computer, remember to carry a Notebook or Journal around with you so that you may capture any writing that comes to you.
~ Always have your Journal or Notebook handy ~
I'm heading to do some more writing ~ I'll see you back here on the Blog tomorrow!
Until then, fellow Writers, keep those thoughts flowing...
Peace, Love & Light,
René
