Diary Writer's ~ Best Writing Spots

Diary Writer's ~ Best Writing Spots

BLOG SESSION
September 14th, 2017

Good Evening Diary Writers ~ Tonight we are going to be discussing the best spots to spend time writing in your Diary.  The perfect spot for your Diary Writing will make a difference in your mental frame of mind as you spend time writing your daily diary entries.

If you would, please grab your trusty Journal to take notes on tonight's Blog Session . . .

Beautiful Suede Journal to take notes...
(Can also be used as a Diary)

If you like writing outdoors, then a Park would be a great place for you to sit down, relax, and write in your Diary on a daily basis ~ maybe at lunchtime...

Spend time in the Park
writing in your Diary
(Maybe at lunchtime or after work)

You'll find that if you spend time in a Park with less traffic, your mind will be more relaxed, you'll feel at ease, and the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that make your writings full of passion and bring forth all of the fine traces of your active life will come through.

Parks are fine places for observation if there are people that you find there.  People tend to walk, bike, read, have picnics, play ball, enjoy games, and have family gatherings in public parks.  If you are a people watcher, then you may just find something to write about in your Diary from going to the Park and bringing your Diary along with you.  Writing about the sights that you see at the Park may also end up being great beginnings to your Short Story, Novel ideas, or Poetry.

Sights at the Park can also spark memories that may bring back personal flashes that would be good for you to add into your daily diary entries.

Finding a nice spot under a tree to sit and write in your Diary is another great idea . . .

You can also do online Diary entries on your Laptop

Being out in nature when you choose to write in your Diary gives you a sense of openness, and this will help you to write better diary entries.  Being in closed in spaces sometimes blocks your writing flow, especially if you tend not to like closed in spaces.

Another great place for you to write in your Diary is in a spot either in a Park or on an off-the-beaten-path Walking Trail...

An off-the-beaten-path Walking Trail

If you find yourself a wonderful spot on a bench in an area where there is a Walking Trail, you'll find that you'll have Walkers strolling by, and timed in such a fashion to bring your mind from your Diary to people walking by, which will give you a rhythm to your writing, and will add an awareness of life from which you can pull from.  This works best if you pick a Walking Trail with few people (if you like solitude).  If noise and activity work well for you when you write, then a Walking Trail with lots of Walkers may be just the spot that you are looking for.  Most Walkers these days will have on Headphones so there will not be a lot of various kinds of music going on in the background.

If you like music when you write, then there are various Parks where you will find people playing music that may fit your style.  Otherwise, you can bring along your own music with your Headphones, which will help to tune out other background noises going on.

Online Diary Writer

If you are an Online Diary Writer, then you may have a great little Coffee Cafe in mind that will work well for your Diary Writing.  Otherwise, you too can take your laptop or notepad to the Park to write in your Diary.

Another wonderful spot for nature lovers to write in their Diary is inside a nice cottage in the woods.  You can always choose either to write in your Diary inside or outside of the cottage...

~ Water Lovers ~

Many Diary Writers love writing in their Diary by the water . . .

Adventurers who love the water will always find unique places to write in their Diary.  If you like the Rapids, just take a look at this Diary Writer...

For all you Boat Lovers, you can always find a way to steal away onto a quiet boat to do your diary writing ~ especially if you have a boat of your own . . .

Find time to write in your Diary on your boat

If the comfort of your home works for you, then by all means pull your Diary out, get comfortable, and write away ~

Until our next Blog Session Diary Writers ~

Enjoy your life!

Do you feel like you are in a Blue Haze?

Do you feel like you are in a Blue Haze?

BLOG SESSION
July 2017

Good Evening Blog Readers, Writers, Followers & Visitors ~ We're back with our Journals!

If you were here for our last Blog Session, then you already know to have your Journal in hand for our Sessions.  Just get your pen out, and get ready to take some good notes in relation to your creativity.

Journal Notes

If you feel like you are in a blue haze, and you are unable to get creative, then this is the Blog Session for you.

First, you have to think back to our last Blog Session where we talked about "Creative Journal Writing", and we discussed using Art as inspiration to create your writings in your Journal.  If you had a chance to take a look at our Artistic Minds® Collection, then you will be able to understand how inspiring Art can be, and just how inspiring Art is.

To write is to pour out the material latent within your soul.  When you actually focus on the pen in your hand, and you freely let your pen flow, then you are allowing your spirit to birth what needs to be born and seen in the light of day.

Once the words begin to flow out, then you can allow what is taking place to happen without your interruption.  Your mind is not needed.  Your soul is working with the aid of your spirit.

When you think too long and too hard about writing, you are getting in the way of the process.  If you must think, then think about relaxing your mind . . .

Relax in Nature

Once you take the time to relax your mind, just know that you are relaxing your body at the same time.  What your mind does directs what your body shall do next.  If your mind is bogged down with lots of items to think about, your body will begin to tense up.  If you keep this up for extended periods of time, then your tension will lead to stress.  We can't let that happen now can we? ~ No.  So, remind yourself to relax.

You know that saying, "Take time to smell the flowers." ~ Let's change that to ~ "Take time to relax your mind."  Relaxation is meaningful, and especially helpful for the flow of your writing.

Just check yourself right now ~ does your body feel tense?  Do your shoulders feel tight?  Do you feel tension in your back?  Are your eyes tired?  Does your face feel tight?  Is the back of your neck tight?  Are your feet throbbing?  Are your legs tense? ~ If so, then you need to r e l a x.

This evening, take a moment to get still and relax.  If you feel like it, light a candle.  If you like incense, light some of that as well.  If you enjoy soft music, then turn your favorite selection on.  If silence is your friend, by all means, get quiet.

Whatever works for you is exactly what you need to do to get your "self" relaxed.

After you feel as if you are relaxed, then turn to your Journal and write.  Write whatever comes out.  Don't think about what you are going to write, just write.

In the morning, and not until morning ~ read what you wrote.

Man reading his Journal

If per chance the Artist in you happens to come out as you turn to your Journal to write, by all means, let the Artist in you come on out and draw!

In Our Next Blog Session:

MORE CREATIVITY!

We'll soon be leaving the month of July ~

See you before it's out!

Peace, Love & Light,

René

May 2017 - Mental Health Awareness Month

Good Morning everyone ~ It is time to awaken to what is going on inside of you.  We have been discussing mental health, and in particular Clinical Depression and other forms of depression.

If you have been following along with us, then you have been writing in your Journal or Diary, and taking notes about what you are learning here on the Blog.

The main thing that needs to be focused on today is the value of being aware of what is going on inside of you.  Your mental health is important.  In addition, your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being are key factors that affect your happiness and those areas of your life should be looked into today.

Please grab your Journal or Diary for this next exercise.  If you do not have one handy, a Notebook will do just fine.

Remember:  YOU are IMPORTANT.

Take a moment to ask yourself the following questions . . .

1)  Did I awake today feeling refreshed?

2)  Did I awake today ready to tackle whatever comes before
       me?

3)  Did I awake feeling tired?

4)  Did I awake with yesterday's issues looming over my
       head?

5)  Did anything agitate or disturb me upon waking?

Now, take your pen, and in your Journal, Diary or Notebook, place your answers to the five questions listed above.

Journal your Thoughts

Here on the pages before you is where you'll meet your "self".  We often forget that we are our own best friend.  We know more about our "self" than we acknowledge.  We often overlook our own feelings, wants, needs and desires.  We rush along through life doing and going and talking and working, and buzzing about concerning ourselves with everything but the right thing.  We let other people tell us who we are and what we're about, and we know good and well that they do not have a clue -- although they think they do.

Now, let us keep moving forward in the pages before us...

Ask yourself the following...

1)  What was the first thing that I did today?

2)  Who was the first person I came in contact with?

3)  Where was the first place that I went to outside of my
       home?

4)  Did I take any medication, or vitamins?

5)  Did I exercise, meditate, listen to music or pray?

6)  Did I get on the telephone, computer, or any other
       technical device?

Now simply jot your answers down in your Journal, Diary or Notebook.  The questions are all diverse, and what is now happening is you are taking the time to hone in on you.

What you have written are answers to eleven questions that we will come back to in another Blog Session.  For now, just keep them in your personal Journal, Diary or Notebook for safe-keeping.

Now take a deep breath.  Relax your body.  Clear your mind.

 Get Comfortable

Say to your "self" . . .

"This day shall be peaceful and calm.  No matter what may happen on this day, I will remain peaceful and calm."

See you in the next Blog Session for more on Mental Health.

NAMASTE

Peace, Love & Light,

 René

Short Story Tip Time
9th Installment
Tuesday, April 25th, 2017

We're back once again for more Short Story Tip Time.  In our 8th Installment, we did an overview of some of the things we had discussed and learned.  We talked about writing in Journals and Diaries to help get our writing flow going.  We also briefly discussed what a Memoir is all about.

For those Writers who were interested in using Writing Apps, information was provided for free Writing Apps for your Smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Desktops.  Any feedback, comments or questions are always welcomed here on the Blog.

You are able to go back to any previous Blog post at any time by simply scrolling down, or clicking on any of the previous Blog post links in the far right hand column.

If you joined us here on the last Blog post, you would have found information on the benefits of keeping a Diary.  I received a lot of feedback thanking me for that particular Blog post entitled, "Hold on Short Story Writers".  You can simply scroll down to view it.
"Hold on Short Story Writers"
In this 9th Installment of Short Story Tip Time, we are going to talk about therapeutic ways to really get into your writing.  The most important part of a pleasant writing experience involves relaxation.

Many writers meditate.  While there are many ways to meditate, there is always a particular meditation practice that you will enjoy more.

I'm going to provide a link that will aid you in learning more about the different ways to Meditate.  The link will give you an Overview of 23 Meditation Techniques.

The Overview will provide you with a lot of information about Meditation practices and techniques.  However, there are still other ways to meditate in addition to what you will find in the Article provided.  I personally prefer Meditating with Music.  It is wonderful, relaxing and soothing to the soul.

Another method I enjoy is Biblical Meditation wherein I'm focused on the presence of God.  I've also found that reading the Scriptures helps to expand your thought process as well as grow your spirit.

Also, many of the Readers following along will be familiar with the Oprah & Deepak 21 Day Meditation Experience that takes place from time to time.  There is currently a session going on right now on the topic of "HOPE IN UNCERTAIN TIMES" which began on April 10th, 2017.  [Click on the above link to get there].

I really enjoy the Oprah & Deepak 21 Day Meditation Experiences, as they are relaxing and eye~opening.  You may find them to be helpful as well.  You can do them at your own pace (pretty much).  If you miss a day or two, you can still catch up and back-track to the days you missed.  There is also a Journal where you can answer questions and really get into the Meditation by exploring your thoughts.  The Meditation with Oprah & Deepak is free and enjoyable.

Many Writers have studied different religions and cultures, and are therefore grounded in what they believe in, but are also open to learn about others.  Differences in religions and cultures will never erase the fact that we all have emotions, feelings, and life experiences that are common to one another.  We should always seek to appreciate and learn from each other.

With that being said, you may also find it helpful to read Books authored by brilliant Writers who come from different backgrounds and cultures.  It is also helpful to check out the Travel channels and go to various countries on the television or the computer if you can't get there by plane, train or automobile.  Putting your fingers on the keyboard is the next best way to travel!

Here are a few more great tips for you today:  Take time to get online and find a free Workshop or a YouTube Clip that discusses any of the following...

1.  How to create a Book Cover
2.  How to write a short story
3.  How to join a Writer's Group
4.  How to publish a Short Story
5.  How to write a Memoir
6.  How to write a Novel

I sure hope you've found our Short Story Tip Time helpful.  See you next time back here on the Blog with something NEW!

Peace, Love & Light,
