All Creatives ~ It is time to snap into your creative zone!

BLOG SESSION
January 11th, 2018

Good Afternoon Writers, Musicians, Singers, Producers, and All Creatives ~ We're back to share another wonderful Blog Session to get you inspired for the year 2018!

The first thing we'd like to turn our attention to is the fact that you have skill.  For the purposes of tapping into your creative zone, please grab your Journal or Notebook for this Session to take notes...

Journal Notes

Our mission today is to make sure that you jot down your strengths in terms of those things that you feel you'd like to bring forth in 2018.

Writers getting in gear

If you are a Writer, here is where you will make a note of the type of writings that you will be working on during the year.  If you'd like to write a Novel, jot that down.  If you have already thought of the genres you would like to look into and/or determined the genre that you will be writing under, jot that down.  On the next few pages in your Journal, make a note of everything associated with your Novel that you know so far such as:  Title, synopsis, characters, introduction, your background as a Writer, publishers you have researched, self-publishing notes if you have decided you will self-publish your Novel.

Another note to include is whether or not you will participate in Camp NaNoWriMo this year.  Camp NaNoWriMo for those of you who are not familiar with National Novel Writing Month (Every November) is a camp for Writers that takes place every year (usually twice in the year for two months ~ April & July, but subject to change in terms of the months).  It is a good place for you to dive into your writing online.  You can sign up using the link above, and look around to find out more information.

For those of you who participate in National Novel Writing Month each year in November online at NaNoWriMo.org ~ You may want to plan ahead for your Novel that you will be working on this year.  Now is a good time to search the site, and sign up if you have not already done so.  You'll enjoy the process, and you'll also be able to participate online in the Forums with other Writers like yourself.

Musicians

If you are a Musician, please make a note in your Journal of the various sets that you have planned for 2018.  Jot down the other musicians you will be working with this year, and when and where you will meet for your practice sessions.

If you are planning to travel abroad, be sure to make a note of those places and the details associated with your journey to those venues.

Singers

If you are a Singer, you'll want to make a note of the songs you are working on, your practice schedule, your performances planned, your collaborations, any travel plans for the year, and any other associated details that you need to keep track of for the year.

If you have an Agent, you'll want to keep track of your planned meetings, contracts, and other items of note.

Producers

When we talk about Producers, for our purposes here today, we are talking about a person responsible for the financial and managerial aspects of the making of a movie or broadcast or for staging a play, opera, etc.  We are also talking about a person who supervises the making of a musical recording, especially by determining the overall sound.

For all of the Producers here with us today, if you are working on a Film, a television series, a Stage Play, a Radio Broadcast, a Musical recording, or a Video Production, be sure to make a note of your various planned projects for the year.  There are a lot of details involved with production.

Film producers, for instance, fill a variety of roles depending upon the type of producer.  If you are either employed by a production company or an independent producer, you already know that producers plan and coordinate various aspects of film production, such as selecting script, coordinating writing, directing and editing, and arranging financing.  During the "discovery stage", the producer has to find and acknowledge promising material.  Then, unless the film is supposed to be based on an original script, the producer has to find an appropriate screenwriter.

We'll be back with more tips for all Creatives in our next Blog Session, so be sure to join us!
