The first thing we are going to do today is to introduce you to a wonderful Blog Site that I found called, "SuZen Art". Sue Olsen is the owner of this Blog, and she has a wonderful area on her Blog that is perfect for what we are going to be discussing today. The specific area that I am talking about on her Blog is entitled, "Blackout Poetry".
An example of Blackout Poetry is featured at the top of this Blog Session. If you click on the above link, you will find Sue's description of what Blackout Poetry is...
Blackout Poetry is so much fun and so easy to do.
Find an old book, choose a page, select words from the page that reflect your feelings, ideas and thoughts. Blackout all the other words on the page. Use your imagination to find new and exciting ways to blackout the other words. Black marker is just one, the sky is the limit!! Ready...set....GO!!! ~ Susan Olsen

If you were here for our last Blog Session, we mentioned our Poetry Journals. What we'd like to do is start creating poems to go into our lovely Poetry Journals.
As a suggestion for those following along, you can start with a Journal that has a blank cover, and then proceed to embellish your Journal cover to reflect your personality.

Another suggestion for all Poets who are planning to start writing poems for your Poetry Journal, you may want to take a look at art or photography in order to inspire you to write poems. The two poems that I shared here on the Blog were inspired by both photography and artwork. You can find those poems in the following links...

Two other links that you may find helpful in terms of inspiration to write your poetry are our Google+ Artistic Minds® Community and our Artistic Minds® Collection.
You are welcome to join our Community, and sign up to follow our Collection by clicking on the above links. We do share poetry in our Community as well as artworks. Many of the Blog Readers here are already members of our community and are following our Google+ Collection.

You may decorate your Poetry Journal any way you choose to make it personally yours. You can add objects, beads, metal, paint, coloured pencil, marker, stencil work, photos, lettering, or anything your imagination can come up with.
Inside your Poetry Journal, your poems can be laid out in such a way that they become an artwork in and of themselves like so...

There is no end to the creations that you can come up with to get your poetry writing going. Be sure to join us for the next Blog Session for more writing tips!
