"What's going on in your World?!"

(Your Outer World)

BLOG SESSION
August 7th, 2017

Brace yourself Diary Writers ~ We're about to take a journey into "Your Outer World".  We've been discussing your inner world in the previous Blog Sessions, and now we are about to flip gears and go into the subject matter of your outer world.

With all of the things going on in the world, and around the world, we have much to make a note of.  We've had floods, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, typhoons, sink holes, maniac world leaders, disasters unexpected, and scores of people who are protesting about anything and everything.

Depending upon where you live on the globe, and whether or not you are an international world traveler, you may see more than others.  Some people never leave their home.  Never move to another city, never move to another state, never move to another country, and have no idea of how anything anywhere else looks or feels other than what they see on television, the internet or their cell phone.

There are many different cultures and languages on this planet, and many of us will not even learn a 2nd or 3rd language.  Thank God for Translators, because some of us will not even attempt to try to learn another language in order to learn more about another culture or find out vital information from another person who speaks a different language than we do.  How self-absorbed is that?

With all of that being said, now is the time to get your Journal out, and remember that Diary Writers not only keep a record of what is going on in their life, but also what is going on in the world around them.

Journal Notes ~ Your Outer World

While your inner thoughts create your outer world, your outer world effects your inner thoughts.

As an overview there are people who have been devastated by natural disasters this year.  There are scores of people who have been flooded out of their homes.  Many others have recently been involved in fires, hurricanes, floods, mudslides, and earthquakes.  And consequently, many people have lost their lives this year.

There are thousands of people who are homeless, jobless, and without proper health care.  Many people have lost their livelihood ~ businesses have been destroyed, and there have been people who have felt that they have nowhere to turn.

There are wars raging all around the globe, and if you do not live in a place where that is happening, then you may not even realize the extent of what is going on.

Our environment is being destroyed at a rapid pace, and we do not need anyone running around launching missiles or dropping bombs to add fuel to the fire.

Sanity is the ability to think and behave in a normal and rational manner.  A sane person is a person who has sound mental health.  Are you one of the rare jewels left on the planet?

Today, take a moment to write down in your Journal what is going on in your outer world ~ locally.  Fix your eyes on the following:

1)    Your Home

2)    Your Neighborhood (Community)

3)    Your City

4)    Your County

5)    Your State

6)    Your Region

7)    Your Country

8)    Your Province

9)    Your Township

10)  Your Nation

11)   Your World

12)   The Earth

13)   The Environment

Pick any one of those thirteen items listed above, and just start writing.  We'll use our Journals today as practice for our Diary Writing.

I'm not sure of where you live on the planet, but what is necessary today is to assess just exactly what your state of mind is about your outer world.  Work your way from your local citizenship all the way to your global citizenship, and write whatever is on your mind.  Put your pen to the paper and let it flow.

We'll be back with more on our outer world for the purposes of learning more about writing in our diaries on a daily basis.

See you when we come back ~

We'll also talk about additional personality types with other titles in our next Blog Session.

Pick out your Personality Type,
and ask your friends & family
to pick out your personality type.

Be sure to write your Personality Type down in your Journal, and also the personality type that your friends and family came up with for you

The next area we want to cover today is your disposition.  If asked, what would you say your disposition is at the present?

When you think of a person's disposition, it is the person's inherent qualities of mind and character.  Your disposition is your prevailing tendency, mood or inclination.  It can also be seen as your temperamental makeup.  Your tendency to act in a certain manner under given circumstances.  After you have thought about what you feel your disposition is, please make a note of your findings in your Journal.

Next, we need to find out what your motivation is for what you do in life.  Think for a minute about your motivating force.  What stimulates you?  What are the motivating factors in your life?  What is the influence or incentive that you have in your life that serves as a motivator for you?  Think in terms of your drive.  What drives you?

For some people, awards are motivators.  For others it could be recognition for achievements.  For many others, money is the motivating factor.  There are also a large number of people who are motivated by caring and kind people or hospitable environments.

Whatever it is that serves as your motivation, please make a note of it in your Journal.

We will be back in our next Blog Session to talk about your outer world, which will primarily be about what is going on in your outer World, both locally and globally.

See you back here with your Journals!

~ DIARY WRITERS ~
"What's going on in your World?!"

BLOG SESSION
September 5th, 2017

Greetings all Diary Writers ~ We are here today to talk about "What's going on in your World?!".  We are going to discuss two aspects of this question ~ Your inner world, and the outer world around you locally as well as globally.

If you would, please grab your Journal for today's notes which will serve to help you with your daily diary entries on this topic.

Journal Notes

As you think about writing in your Diary, take a minute to think about your inner world.  Think about what is going on inside of yourself.  Remember that emotions are often intertwined with mood, temperament, personality, disposition, and motivation.

Emotions derive from a natural instinctive state of mind from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.

First, you must consider your life circumstances at this moment.  Your life circumstances are based upon facts and conditions connected with or relevant to events and/or actions in your life.  Circumstances are events or facts that cause or help something to happen, typically something undesirable.

Write down in your journal any undesirable events that have happened in your life recently.  Focus both on the events that were caused by you directly, and those events caused by others in your life.  You may have undesirable events that have happened at the hand of relatives, your spouse, your children, your co-workers, your friends, your associates, or your neighbors.  Whatever the case may be, make a note of each of those undesirable events, and everything connected with them.  Be specific, because you will find that the process of doing so will be very therapeutic for you.

Next, think about your mood at this time.  Your mood is typically a temporary state of mind or a feeling that you may have.  We all know that people can be in a bad mood, or a good mood at any given point in time, and there is always underlying reasons for the specific mood that you will find a person in.  For this process of labeling your mood, think about how you are feeling and why you are feeling the way you are feeling.  The point is, you are to pin-point your mood, and then go deeper to ascertain why you are in the mood that you are in.  Once you begin to do this on a daily basis, you will find that you will become more in touch with your emotional state of mind.  Being in touch with your emotions and feelings is helpful to your mental well being.

The next thing you want to do is consider the relationships that you have with others in your life right now.  Name the people that you find are primarily in your life more frequently.  Of course, for many Diary Writers here, it will be your family, your significant other, or your spouse.  If work is the center of your life, it may be your co-workers.  If you have a lot of extracurricular activities going on in your life, it may be your friends that are primarily in your life.  If you are in school, college, or classes of any kind, it may be your classmates.

The reason why you want to identify those primary people in your life is that you have to understand that whatever is going on in the lives of those around you also spills over into your life, and could potentially cause you to have additional emotions, feelings, and moods that you would not otherwise have.

Our next item for your Journal is your temperament.  Your temperament is based upon your nature, especially as it permanently affects your behavior.  For example, the tendency to behave angrily or emotionally.  If you have a level temperament, you are able to handle various situations and/or circumstances with a level head versus over reacting or becoming anxious or emotionally out of sorts.  Your temperament involves your character, your makeup, and your personality.  You've heard it said, "She has such a pleasant personality", or "He has such an endearing personality."  Those comments mainly refer to pleasing personalities, and easy going people with level temperaments.

When we come back for our next Blog Session, we are going to discuss more about your inner world, which will include your personality, your disposition, and your motivation.

Be sure to join us back here on the Blog as we continue our Diary Writer's Journey!
