Journal Notes

We are about to get into our outer world on a Global Level. There is a lot going on in the world as we all know.  And, depending upon where you live, you could possibly (and probably do) see many things that some of us here on the Blog do not see.

At this point, take a moment to write down in your Journal the external things that are going on in your life.  Remember, we are going to be looking at our outer world on a Global Level.  That means, that even if we start right where we live, we are going to expand outward to learn more about the world around us expansively.  Here are some starting points for you . . .

1)  Think about the street you live on.  If you live in a house, what's going on with your neighbors?  Do you even know your neighbors?  Are there any areas that need to be addressed on your street?  Is there any crime?  Is the outside of where you live decorated nicely, neat and clean?  Do you even care?

2)  In your community, what are the events that are taking place?  Are there any events taking place?  Do you find that you have things that you can do right there in the community you live in?  If not, why not?

3)  On a city level, write down in your Journal the city that you currently reside in.  Do you like the city that you currently live in?  Is there anything that has happened this month in your city that you can make a note of?  If you live in a smaller city, or suburb, please write down the major city that you live closest to.  Is the major city that you are closest to having any issues or problems?  Are you involved politically with your community or city?  If so, in what capacity?  Do you do any volunteer work?  If so, write down the area in which you volunteer and the reasons why you volunteer.

4)  Let's take our thoughts to a State level or Province level...
How much do you know about the State or Province that you live in?  How much do you know about the County or territory that you reside in?

5)  What Country do you currently live in?  If you happen to live on an Island, please write down the name of the Island that you currently live on in your Journal.  Please make a note in your Journal of the mainland as contrasted with the islands.

6)  Let's go further out into the area of our Global Continents ~ any of the world's main continuous expanses of land (Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America)...which Continent do you live on? For those of you who may live in Europe, you already know that the mainland of Europe is distinct from the British Isles.  Many of us here on the Blog may never think in terms of the Continent that we live on when we are asked where we live.  But at this moment, we are going to jot down in our Journal exactly what we think about the Continent that we live on.  Do you like living on the Continent that you live on? Is there anything major or of urgency that is going on right now on your Continent that is worthy of you making a note of?  Many of us may never have to deal with a war, a wildfire, a volcano eruption, tsunami, earthquake, landslide, floods, hurricanes, tropical cyclones, tornadoes, hail storms, snow storms, ice storms, damaging winds, or violent thunderstorms.  Please make a note in your Journal if your are experiencing any of these weather events at this time, and also make a note of any of these events that you have experienced this year on a major level where it has disrupted your life (2017).

JOURNAL NOTES ABOUT THE WEATHER:

THUNDERSTORMS
There can be as many as 40,000 thunderstorms each day around the world.  They are most common in the U.S., where they can produce tornadoes, floods, lightning and damaging winds.

TORNADOES
Much about tornadoes remains a mystery.  They are rare, unpredictable and deadly.  The U.S. has more tornadoes than anywhere else in the world.

FLOODS
Except for heat-related fatalities, more deaths occur from flooding than any other weather-related hazard.

LIGHTNING
Lightning is one of the oldest observed natural phenomena on earth.  At the same time, it also is one of the least understood.

HAIL
Hail can cause billions of dollars of damage to structures, crops and livestock.

DAMAGING WINDS
Straight-line winds are responsible for most thunderstorm damage.  These winds can cause as much damage as a tornado.

WINTER WEATHER
Forecasting winter weather accurately is very difficult because a degree or two of temperature change can mean the difference between snow or freezing rain.

Severe Weather

SPECIAL NOTE:  The Power of Ice & Fire
The State of Montana in the United States came to understand the power of ice and fire this week as it dealt with snowfall and a wildfire at the same time.
Glacier National Park announced the closure of an eastern portion of Going-to-the-Sun Road Friday because of snow and ice, while the western section of the roadway remained shuttered due to ongoing wildfires.  The fires scorching the region ignited on August 10, 2017 and have engulfed nearly 16,000 acres of land.
But thick flakes of snow falling on the area and lower temperatures have raised hopes that more precipitation would follow and help bring an end to the monthlong blaze.
"This is fascinating, I never thought about some of this."
We have so much more to discuss in our next Blog Session

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Four

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer
Step Four

BLOG SESSION
August 26th, 2017

Welcome back Diary Writers, Blog Readers, Followers & Visitors ~ We are now on Step Four of our Soul Travels of a Diary Writer Blog Session Series.

If you have your Journal ready to take notes, please pull it out.  We left off with each Blog Reader having the assignment of writing down twenty (20) items in their Journal.  The twenty items that should be written in your Journal are as follows . . .

You should have ten (10) Affirmations that resonate with you, and ten (10) things that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.

Those 20 items that you have written in your Journal are the reference points for you to refer to so that you may strike a balance in your life.  As you begin to write your daily diary entries, you will gain further clarity when you review your twenty reference points from your Journal.

Whenever you have Affirmations that resonate with you, it gives you an idea of what your soul desires may be.  That is the reason you were asked to gather ten (10) Affirmations and write them in your Journal.

Your Affirmations are meant to help you to erase the ten items that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.

Let's take one Affirmation from our last Blog Session as a demonstration . . .

"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

If one of your ten items from your list of things that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping was:  "I have guilt from not doing something a different way a year ago that has caused me problems ever since" ~ The above Affirmation should help you to erase your "guilt" feelings about that particular incident.

Of the ten items that you may have on your list, which of those items can stand up to the weight of the Affirmation that was just used in our example?

At this point, you should ask yourself the following question . . .

AFFIRMATION FOR TODAY:
"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

There is no issue, problem, or incident that the above Affirmation does not put to rest.

Just like anything else in life, repetition creates a habit, and habits tend to form your beliefs.  Do you believe that Affirmations work?

Please remember from our last Blog Session, the following Affirmation . . .

"It's the repetition of affirmations
that leads to belief.
And once that belief becomes a
deep conviction,
things begin to happen."
~ Claude M. Bristol ~

"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

We will leave off for today with the above Affirmation for you to focus on until our next Blog Session.  Say this Affirmation aloud after you have read your ten items from your Journal that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.  Then repeat the Affirmation aloud until your ten items dissipate.

Let's see what happens after we come back!
