Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Twelve ~ "The Blame Game"

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer

Step Twelve

"The Blame Game"

BLOG SESSION
September 3rd, 2017

Welcome back Diary Writers, Blog Readers, Followers & Visitors ~ We're here for another wonderful Blog Session about tips for your daily dairy entries.

In our last Blog Session we discussed the topic of your next great idea.  In your Journal, you were to write down all of your great ideas, (no matter how large or small), and you were to include any additional input or thoughts that you had with regard to your ideas.

One thing that we need to introduce to you today so that you can clear any distractive thoughts from your great ideas, as well as make a clear path for all progress that you are about to make with your daily diary entries is "The Blame Game".

Hopefully, everyone has their Journals out and you're ready to take notes . . .

Journal Notes

One very important note for today's Blog Session is the quote that you see at the heading of this Blog . . .

"When you think EVERYTHING is someone else's fault, you will suffer a lot." ~ Dali Lama

Please make a note in your Journal of this quote.  As you sincerely begin writing your daily diary entries, you'll need to assess whether or not you are harboring bad feelings against others, or casting blame on others for anything that you have perceived to have gone wrong in your life.

Many people who have negative attitudes are prime candidates for "The Blame Game".  People get stuck playing The Blame Game, because it makes it easier for them not to take responsibility for certain situations or circumstances that have arisen in their life that are not what they want.  Misery loves company.  And, sometimes people like to make everyone else around them miserable when they feel miserable.   One way that the Miserable One does that is to blame others for their feelings versus assessing their feelings and emotions and getting to the root of the real problem.

The Blame Game

Please Note:   How you perceive the challenges that you may have to face at any given time in your life makes a huge difference in your well being.  There is no need to suffer because of The Blame Game, and that includes wrong thoughts, misgivings, resentments, unforgiveness, misunderstandings, and/or your lack of fortitude or inapt communication skills.

Another area that you will want to stay away from as you focus on your Great Ideas and writing your daily diary entries is GOSSIP...

Gossip

Gossip is very destructive to your progress, so do steer clear of it.

Gossip ruins relationships, scars reputations, and takes you off course from productive endeavors.

As you clear away distractions from your life you will be able to write in your Diary with a clear state of mind.

We'll be back with more daily diary writing tips for all of the Diary Writers following along who like to write in their Diaries online in our next Blog Session...

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Eleven ~ "Your next great idea!"

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer

Step Eleven

"Your next great idea!"

BLOG SESSION
September 2nd, 2017

Good Afternoon Diary Writers ~ We're back once again to share daily diary writing tips to help you with your Diary entries.

Today's Blog Session will help you with your next great idea.  We all have ideas, and some of our ideas will stick immediately, and others are ideas that we will make a note of, and what we'll notice is that those ideas will pop back up again and again at intervals in our life if we do not act on them right away.

What we want to get to today is "Your next great idea!"

Grab your Journal now for today's notes . . .

Journal Notes

We are about to use a fresh page in our Journals for today's Blog Session notes.  The main header for today is this:  "Your next great idea!"

You always have ideas rolling around in your head, and what you want to start doing from here on out if you have not been doing so, is make a note of your ideas in your Diary.

To make sure that you get a good start, what you want to do right now is make a list of your ideas.  No matter what those ideas may be, make a note in your Journal right now of all of your ideas.  Do not dismiss any of your ideas ~ ever.  Make a note of your ideas even if you do not act on them right away.

Your Lightbulb Moments

Your lightbulb moments are what you do not want to dismiss.  Whenever you have a lightbulb moment, you need to make sure you write it down in your Diary.  If you have additional thoughts that accompany your ideas, then make sure that you write those additional thoughts down in your Diary as well.

You'll be surprised at how many of your ideas will be picked up and acted on by other people.  Whenever ideas are sent out into the universe, more than one person will be the receiver of that idea.  It is the person who acts upon the idea and runs with it that will be the person that takes off with it.  Not everyone will maintain their particular idea(s).  Just like many businesses fail, the same holds true for ideas, and you should be aware of that fact.  While there are also unsavory people who steal ideas, many ideas are thought of by more than one person.

You also have to understand that ideas can always be expanded upon.  More than one person has had the idea of a computer program, that is why there are so many different computer programs.  The same holds true for anything else, like the make and model of different cars, or computer games, or Apps that we use today.

There are various styles and designs of products that are invented on a daily basis.  Your idea(s) should always be expanded upon, and that is where the additional thought comes into play.

One important tip about ideas:  Be creative.

Take your idea and be creative with it!

If you have your Diary already, you may have already started writing your daily diary entries in it.  If you do not yet have your trusty Diary, be sure to pick one up that you are attracted to.

Feel free to share any thoughts, comments or questions that you may have about Diary Writing here on the Blog in the "Comments Section" at the bottom of this Blog post or any Blog post that you find here.

Our next Blog Session will require that you get really honest with yourself so that your daily diary entries will help you to understand what is going on inside of you.  You will also get clearer about what is going on outside of you as well.

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Ten ~ "Putting the thoughts in your head in your Diary"

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer

Step Ten

"Putting the thoughts in your head in your Diary"

Your Diary Information

BLOG SESSION
September 1st, 2017

We are back for another exciting Blog Session Diary Writers!

If you are new here, just to fill you in on what we've been talking about, we have been discussing the entanglements in your life that you need to get rid of in order to get seriously clear about your daily diary entries.  We also talked about "How to get untangled".

You can always check out our previous Blog Sessions by clicking on any of the Blog Links that you may be interested in.  You'll find all of the previous Blog Sessions by going over to the far right-hand column under our "Blog Archive".

Be sure to Bookmark our Blog, and also sign up to "Follow by Email" so that you can read each Blog Session as it is posted in your Email box.

Now is the time when we get out our Journals so that you can take notes about today's Session . . .

Journal Notes

"Putting the thoughts in your head in your Diary" . . .

First off, you can start by taking a look at all of your notes from your Journal.  Start with all of the items that you wrote down in response to this Session . . .

Remember the following...

In many cases, the entanglements in your life are a direct result of your inability to speak up for yourself; make correct choices; or be disciplined in your actions with regard to your responsibilities and your life in general.

When you take the time to seriously think about your choices, your actions, your discipline or lack thereof, your responsibilities, and whether or not you speak up for yourself or not, then you will be able to get your ink pen flowing...

Diary Writer at work.

As you contemplate your feelings and emotions at this time, be sure to get still long enough to clear out all of the extraneous side-line crap that is floating around in your head.

Here are some tips to help you . . .

Stop worrying about things that you can do nothing about.

Forget about what so and so had to say about you.

Don't over think anything that someone may have said to you in passing, because they have probably forgotten that they even said it.

Forget about others telling you how to live your life, because only YOU can decide that.

For everything that has happened to you in your past that has gotten your spirit down, visibly envision yourself throwing it over a bridge into the water to be gone forever.

NOW . . .

Diary Writers ~ Be sure to take a deep breath before you begin your journey with your daily diary entries.

You have a lot to unload, and your mission, (should you choose to accept it), is to start putting the myriad of thoughts in your head in your Diary in a way that will be beneficial to you learning more about you.

Your first entry should be the place where you honestly talk about what is on your mind sincerely.

Write about:  Your hurts, your disappointments, the people in your life that are meaningful to your well being (or not), your accomplishments, your successes, your perceived failures, your hopes, your dreams, the work you are doing at the present, your travel plans, your vacation plans, any anger that you may be holding on to, and finally . . .

Inspire yourself with your own spirit filled words.

Think the Best
of
Yourself!

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Nine ~ "How to get untangled"

BLOG SESSION
August 31st, 2017

Welcome back Blog Readers, Diary Writers, Followers & Visitors ~ We are here for our next Blog Session . . .

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer

Step Nine

"How to get untangled"

We've got a lot to discuss today.  If you were here for our last Blog Session, welcome back!

In our last Blog Session we discussed entanglements.  Now is the time to get your Journals out.  Inside your Journal you should have notes from our last Session.  We have all taken the time to write down in our Journals the answers to the following questions:

What do you consider to be an entanglement in your life right now?

Entanglements

As an Overview:

For the purposes of this Blog Session, remember an entanglement is anything in your life that acts as a barrier, distraction, irritation, annoyance, hindrance, complication, aggravation, or diversion from your personal goals.

Everyone following along will have a different number of entanglements listed that are specific to you.  Those entanglements that you have listed should be broken down by the various areas of your life, such as:

FINANCES

WORK

PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS

PEOPLE

HOME

FAMILY

BUSINESS

PAST  CONNECTIONS (people, places, things)

HEALTH

SLEEP

Next, you should have listed in your Journal all of the superfluous items that may serve as an entanglement in your life such as:

1)  Long phone calls

2)  Excessive internet usage ~ i.e., looking at Emails,
      videos, reports, etc.

3)  Gossip

4)  Excessive Shopping

5)  Disorganization

6)  Excessive Meetings

7)  Noise and busy activity

8)  Excessive television watching

9)  Any other associations that take up excessive
      amounts of your time

Key Point to Remember:  Your time is a valuable commodity.

Your Time

Next on your list should be the breakdown of how you typically use your time.  You should have listed all of the items in your life where you spend most of your time.

Examples:

1)  Work

2)  Children

3)  Elder Care

4)  Business

5)  Hobbies

6)  Organizations/Associations

7)  Health Care

8)  Driving

9)  Enjoyment and/or extracurricular activities

With all of those items being listed in your Journal, you are now ready for Step Nine:   "How to get untangled".

"How to get untangled"

There are several things that you should keep in mind if you seek to untangle yourself from all of the entanglements that you have listed in your Journal.

First, consider that some of the items on your list will seem impossible to untangle yourself from.  Lets say that you have listed your work schedule as one of your entanglements, which stresses you out because you find yourself being unable to do some of the things in your life that you are either responsible for, or that you enjoy.  Such as going to your child's parent-teacher conferences or school events.  You may enjoy playing Bridge, but are unable to meet up with the Bridge Club because your work schedule does not permit you to do so on the day of the Bridge meeting.

In the case of important functions that you need to be at like your child's parent-teacher conferences or school events, you should be able to work that out with your Manager or Director.  If your Manager or Director is unreasonable, then you may need to do something about that particular issue.  If the problem is that you don't speak up for yourself, then you need to learn how to do so.

In many cases, the entanglements in your life are a direct result of your inability to speak up for yourself; make correct choices; or be disciplined in your actions with regard to your responsibilities and your life in general.

For the items on your list that relate to your enjoyment or extracurricular activities, you will have to find a way to schedule in those things that you enjoy in order to balance your life.  If you find that you never seem to be able to take a vacation, it is because you have not made taking a vacation a priority for yourself.

Please make a note in your Journal that there is no reason to deprive yourself of "Joy".

Getting untangled is easier than you may think.  Part of the problem for most people when it comes to entanglements is their "thinking".

An assessment of the way that you are thinking about various areas of your life can clearly be seen when you keep a daily diary.

Your Diary

When you make it a point to write in your Diary on a daily basis, you will find that there are many things in your life that are easily discovered when you have written down your daily interactions, activities, feelings, emotions, and thoughts.

You will find that there are people in your life that are a treasure to you.  While there are others that serve as entanglements.

Weeding out the people in your life that cause you harm in any way is easier when you can clearly see their track record in your Diary.  People who disrespect your feelings, are unkind, abusive verbally, physically, emotionally or mentally have to go.  It is also safe to say that it would be wise to keep your distance from jealous, envious, spiteful, or hateful people.

Guarding your spirit is important.  Growing spiritually is also essential to your well being.

If you do not take time to reflect on your life activities, make it a point to focus on what is going on in your life by writing in your Diary on a daily basis, and then returning to re-read what you have written on a weekly basis.

Be sure that you express your emotions, feelings, hurts, joys, desires, wishes, dreams, goals, long-term as well as short-term plans in your Diary.

Also, make it a point of making notations in your Diary about what is going on in the world on a monthly basis.  City, County, Country, and Worldwide events that are of importance should be noted in your diary.  Events serve as mental reminders of certain points in time in your life.  You may or may not remember what you did on your Birthday last year, but chances are that you will remember your Birthday each year clearly when you make a note of what happens on your Birthday each year in your Diary, and take photos or record video of the events and activities in relation to your Birthday.

I'll leave you with a very special image of a unique Diary that Journalists and History Lovers will definitely enjoy, and you will too! . . .

NEWSPAPER HEADLINE
D I A R Y

With a specialized Diary, you will be able to pinpoint exactly what you are interested in keeping a record of.

The events of History are recorded in Newspaper Headlines.  Having a Diary that points out what those Headlines are is perfect for History Buffs and those who like to remember their life events, as well as local and/or world events.

There are events in your life that serve as markers for turning points in your life.  Disasters such as floods, fires, earthquakes, and/or wars re-direct many lives in many ways.  The Diary of Anne Frank is one such example of a Diary that marks a turning point in history.

Your Diary could very well serve as an International literary work of achievement that millions of people will be reading well past the length of your life.  So, as you write in your Diary, treat it as a treasure, because it is.

We'll be back here for our next Blog Session with more tips to help you with your daily diary entries.
