Journal Notes

We are going to move on to Step Two of our Diary adventure.  Mostly everyone would like to learn more about their inner self.  The best way to get in touch with yourself is to write daily in your Diary.  Your thoughts are important.  Regardless of what anyone says to you or to others about you, and regardless of what you may even think of yourself, if you are not aware, you must know today that you are SPECIAL.

You are an original, and there are no duplicates.  What you have to offer to this world is very unique.  Your Diary is an important tool for you to use so that you may find out the intricate workings of your mind, and the whispers of your soul.

There is one thing that you should make a note of in your Journal notes at this time, take one page and place the Header:  The insights of your soul.

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer
Step One ~ Introduction
click link above to review

In our last Blog Session we discussed the introduction to our "Soul Travels of a Diary Writer".  We are here today to continue where we left off.

Your soul knows exactly what you are destined to do while you are here on this earth.  Believe it or not, if you get still, and focus, your soul will reveal to you exactly what you should be doing at this point in time in your life.  You are continually receiving insightful direction on a daily basis, the question is are you paying attention?

You will be using your Journal during our Blog Sessions as a practice area for the information that you will be using in your personal daily diary.

If you have not yet purchased your Diary, you can go back and look at one of our prior Blog Sessions where we discussed the various types of Diaries.  You will find all of our past Blog Sessions in the far right-hand column under the heading, "Blog Archive".  We have discussed the Diary for the following types of individuals:   Author, Artist, Poet, Photographer, and Traveler.  We also discussed the Diary of Anne Frank to give you an example of a young teenager's diary entries that were written at an important time in history.  The Diary of Anne Frank is still being read and researched to this day by millions of people.  Anne Frank's Diary demonstrates to all Readers the depths of hatred, as well as the depths of despair.  Anne Frank's Diary also serves as a window to a point in history when the destructive devices of wicked individuals was shown to the world without shame.  The lesson of how devastating it is when ignorant people blindly follow a wicked Leader who is in power.  To destroy innocent lives in mass numbers and ruin hopes and dreams is an unspeakable tragedy.  Anne's Diary is a warning to future generations.

Your Diary is a legacy not only for yourself, but also for your children, grandchildren, and if you happen to be like Anne Frank or other famous Diary Writers, for millions of other Readers who will gain a great deal of insight, wisdom, and knowledge from your personal daily life experiences, activities and thoughts.

How do you get started listening to your soul?

The best way to get started listening to your soul is to learn how to meditate.  Meditation is the practice of thinking deeply or focusing one's mind for a period of time in silence or with the aid of scriptures or affirmations.  Meditation is practiced by millions of people on a daily basis for relaxation, spiritual, religious, or personal purposes.

Thinking carefully about the various and diverse elements of your life is important.

Thinking carefully . . .

Thinking carefully about your life, the people in your life circle, your decisions, your choices, your living space, and primarily the quality of your thoughts will in and of itself change your life dramatically.

Are you ready to make a positive change in your life?

If your answer to the above question is, "Yes", then here is where we will get into the items that we came here for today.  We will now focus on the meat for your personal Diary . . .
Your personal Diary

Your personal Diary starts with you.  If you have not had the following thought on your mind, then let us re-focus . . .

"You are the determining factor in how your life will unfold from this point forward".  Let us all place this point in our Journals at this time.  This point is known as the second rung on our ladder.  Also known as . . .

Step Two of the Soul Travels of a Diary Writer
Your future starts with YOU.

REMEMBER:  "You are the determining factor in how your life will unfold from this point forward".

Your Diary is now available to utilize as your tool to uncover and appreciate the highest soul version of YOU.

Diary Writers & Friends we will be back here for another exciting Blog Session . . .

"Silence is the most powerful SCREAM."

BLOG SESSION
August 21st, 2017

Good Afternoon Blog Readers, Followers & Visitors:

We are back here for another exciting Blog Session.  We have been discussing Diary Writing for Authors, Artists, Poets, Photographers, Travelers, and lastly, The Diary of Anne Frank and the SECRET ANNEX.

Today's Blog Session is entitled . . .

"Silence is the most powerful SCREAM."

When things in your life seem to be in "silent mode" inside of you, take a moment to look around and see what is going on outside of yourself.  Then take the time to write in your Diary in silence.

As we all know, sometimes people in mass numbers are silent just before the loud SCREAM!

There are many benefits to keeping a daily Diary.  Those Readers of our Blog who have been writing faithfully in their Diary know how powerful it is to write your daily thoughts, feelings, emotions, activities, dreams, hopes, wishes, frustrations, personal problems, situations and circumstances.  What happens when you write daily in your Diary is that you discover more about your inner feelings in a very constructive and powerful way.

Your soul knows best what your mind may not have yet comprehended.

Ladies and Gentlemen, writing in your Diary is like opening up a door for you to explore your inner "self" . . .

The door to your inner self

If you have not taken the time to get still and sit in silence, then today is as good a day as any to do so.

Pay attention to your silence.  If you are silent when you should speak, one day your silent voice will rest no more.  If you allow your voice to be heard in the pages of your Diary where you can review your thoughts and sit with them, and learn from them, then you will have gained something that few people do.

Spend some time with your Diary today . . .

Diary Writer

Allow yourself to honestly write out your thoughts, feelings, emotions, hopes, dreams, wishes, disappointments, frustrations, joys, sorrows ~ and any grief, resentments, or hurts that you are holding within.

Today may just be the day that your soul decides to OPEN UP to you in a very profound way . . .

One day, my Soul just opened up ~

...and let out the most powerful SCREAM!

What exactly is in . . . The Diary for the ARTIST?

What exactly is in . . .

The Diary for the ARTIST?

BLOG SESSION
August 10, 2017

Good Afternoon Blog Readers, Diary Writers, Artists, Authors & Visitors ~

We are back once again to continue our discussion about Diary writing, and the question of "What exactly is in . . . The Diary of the ARTIST?"

If you are ready to learn more, then now is the time to grab your Journal so that you can take your notes...

Journal Notes

If you are an Artist of any genre, then this Blog Session will definitely interest you.  For the purposes of this Blog Session, keep in mind that this will be of great interest to you if you have a gift in any of the following areas . . .

1)    Writing

2)    Photography

3)    Crafts

4)    Architecture

5)    Poetry

6)    Song Writing

7)    Novelist

8)    Author

9)    Short Story Writer

10)  Playwright

11)   Memoirist

12)   Designer ~ Fashion, Furniture, Landscape or Interiors

13)    Visual Artist

14)    Graphic Artist

15)     Animator

16)     Singer

17)     Musician

18)     Actor ~ Actress

There are many areas that fall into the lane of the Artist, and if there is an artistic talent or "gift" inside of you that is not listed above, be sure to add it into our "Comments Section" at the bottom of this Blog.  Also, make sure that you make a note of it in your Journal for today's notes.

As we progress to the question of "What exactly is in . . . The Diary "the ARTIST?" please make a note of the following in your Journal . . .

There have been Notebooks, Journals, and Diaries put together and written by some of the most interesting creative minds ~ Authors, Artists, Actors, Musicians, Scientists, and other great thinkers.  These Notebooks, Journals, and Diaries were put together and written by individuals who were well known and/or famous for the same purpose as your purpose is for writing in your personal Diary ~ to get to know your inner self.

Take a look at the Diary of Marilyn Monroe . . .

Marilyn Monroe’s Diary
From Fragments: Poems, Intimate Notes, Letters by Marilyn Monroe.

Taking a glimpse of Marilyn Monroe's open Diary pages here, you can clearly see that her Diary looks a little messy.  There are arrows, some words underlined, and a word scratched out.  Neatness was not Marilyn's goal, and neatness may not be your goal either.  When you write freely, anything is likely  to flow out onto your Diary pages.  You may even be a "highlighter" user.  Whatever you feel, just do it.  Don't worry about how your writing looks, just write.

Leonardo da Vinci's Notebook
[One of many of Leonardo da Vinci's Notebooks.
The pages above are diagramming a potter’s wheel, c. 1508-1509.]

Notice that Leonardo's handwriting is a little neater than Marilyn's.  Also make a note of the drawings, and how intricate they are.

Let's take a look at another Diary by the hand of an Artist . . .

Frida Kahlo's Diary

Notice the visual artistry in Frida's Diary.

There is something about the hand of the Visual Artist that always adds a flare to any page, canvas, or paper product.  A Diary is another place to let your artistic talent show forth.

How will your Diary look?

There is lots more to be seen from the Diary of Artists that will no doubt interest you ~ So join us back here for our next Blog Session so that you may be inspired by what you find!

What to write about in your Diary

MORE ABOUT YOUR DIARY

What to write about in your Diary

BLOG SESSION
August 8th, 2017

Good Early Morning Blog Readers, Writers, Authors, Poets, Diary Writers & Visitors ~

We are back here once again for another great Blog Session about Diary Writing.  This morning, we are going to explore the topic of what you should write about in your Diary.

If you were here for our last Blog Session, then you should already have an idea about what type of Diary you'd like, what size you'd like, and the style Diary that would suit you.  You have probably already went out to purchase your Diary by now.  If by chance you have not yet purchased your Diary, be sure to take a look around online to see what type of Diary you think you might be interested in.  Then you can head to the store and get a close~up look up at all of the stylish Diaries that are available.  There are various different styles, colors, and sizes to pick from.  There are different styles that will attract the male diary writers among us, as well as the female diary writers among us.

No matter what age you are, you'll find out a lot about yourself by keeping a daily diary and really paying attention to the discoveries that come out of your writings.

The first thing you should do now, is grab your Journal like we always do when we come here to take notes . . .

Journal Notes

Put your thinking cap on Diary Writers . . .
You'll want to begin your Diary with the understanding that you have a goal in mind.  That goal is going to be totally up to you.  The goal that you set is not meant to make you feel pressured, it is meant to help you to get the most out of your Diary experience.  As we discussed in our last Blog Session here, the moment you purchase your Diary, you'll find that the design and style of your Diary will be a reflection of the reason why you are going to begin writing in your Diary in the first place ~ your goal. . .

If you purchase your Diary with the idea that you will learn more about your "self", then that will be your goal.

If you purchase your Diary in order to get your life in some type of assemblance of order, then that will be your goal.

If you purchase your Diary for healing so that you may get to the root of your "anger", "resentment", and/or "unforgiveness" issues, then that will be your goal.

If you purchase your Diary to find out what skills and talents are latent within you that you'd like to capitalize on, then that will be your goal.

You may of course have a very unique reason for wanting to start writing in your brand new Diary or Diaries (should you choose to have separate Diaries for your distinct goals), and whatever your reason is, remember to keep your goal in mind so that at the end of your journey in your Diary, you will have something that should make you feel like you've accomplished what you set out to do.

The key to effective Diary writing is to know what you are aiming for when you purchase your Diary.  It may help you if you see your Diary as your own personal and private therapy session.

Diary Writer

When you really get serious and sit down to write in your Diary, then the question that will come to your mind if you have not really thought about it is this . . .

"What do I write about in my Diary?"

Here are some suggestions to get you started:

Use the first page of your Diary to write down your goal ~ the reason why you are beginning your personal and private therapeutic diary journey.

If you are an Artist, use your first page to create a Drawing, a sketch, or a miniature painting.

If you are an Author or a Novelist, use your first page to list the Novels you plan to work on in the next year.

If you are a Poet, use your first page to let your soul pour out poetic verses.

If you are a Photographer at heart, use your first page to glue or tape in a couple of wonderful photographs that you have just taken to get your Diary in line with your talent.

If you are a Fashion Designer, try your hand at drawing out a nice fashion design on your first page.

If you need to learn how to love your "self", then you may want to use the first page of your Diary to list all of the wonderful things about your "self" and your life that you have taken for granted.

If for some reason you need to remember the important God relationship that you've neglected to tune into, then use your first page to write a soulful letter to God.

Here is something that you may find powerful for the first page of your Diary . . .

List all of the things in your life that you are grateful for.
