What to write about in your Diary

MORE ABOUT YOUR DIARY

What to write about in your Diary

BLOG SESSION
August 8th, 2017

Good Early Morning Blog Readers, Writers, Authors, Poets, Diary Writers & Visitors ~

We are back here once again for another great Blog Session about Diary Writing.  This morning, we are going to explore the topic of what you should write about in your Diary.

If you were here for our last Blog Session, then you should already have an idea about what type of Diary you'd like, what size you'd like, and the style Diary that would suit you.  You have probably already went out to purchase your Diary by now.  If by chance you have not yet purchased your Diary, be sure to take a look around online to see what type of Diary you think you might be interested in.  Then you can head to the store and get a close~up look up at all of the stylish Diaries that are available.  There are various different styles, colors, and sizes to pick from.  There are different styles that will attract the male diary writers among us, as well as the female diary writers among us.

No matter what age you are, you'll find out a lot about yourself by keeping a daily diary and really paying attention to the discoveries that come out of your writings.

The first thing you should do now, is grab your Journal like we always do when we come here to take notes . . .

Put your thinking cap on Diary Writers . . .
You'll want to begin your Diary with the understanding that you have a goal in mind.  That goal is going to be totally up to you.  The goal that you set is not meant to make you feel pressured, it is meant to help you to get the most out of your Diary experience.  As we discussed in our last Blog Session here, the moment you purchase your Diary, you'll find that the design and style of your Diary will be a reflection of the reason why you are going to begin writing in your Diary in the first place ~ your goal. . .

If you purchase your Diary with the idea that you will learn more about your "self", then that will be your goal.

If you purchase your Diary in order to get your life in some type of assemblance of order, then that will be your goal.

If you purchase your Diary for healing so that you may get to the root of your "anger", "resentment", and/or "unforgiveness" issues, then that will be your goal.

If you purchase your Diary to find out what skills and talents are latent within you that you'd like to capitalize on, then that will be your goal.

You may of course have a very unique reason for wanting to start writing in your brand new Diary or Diaries (should you choose to have separate Diaries for your distinct goals), and whatever your reason is, remember to keep your goal in mind so that at the end of your journey in your Diary, you will have something that should make you feel like you've accomplished what you set out to do.

The key to effective Diary writing is to know what you are aiming for when you purchase your Diary.  It may help you if you see your Diary as your own personal and private therapy session.

When you really get serious and sit down to write in your Diary, then the question that will come to your mind if you have not really thought about it is this . . .

"What do I write about in my Diary?"

Here are some suggestions to get you started:

Use the first page of your Diary to write down your goal ~ the reason why you are beginning your personal and private therapeutic diary journey.

If you are an Artist, use your first page to create a Drawing, a sketch, or a miniature painting.

If you are an Author or a Novelist, use your first page to list the Novels you plan to work on in the next year.

If you are a Poet, use your first page to let your soul pour out poetic verses.

If you are a Photographer at heart, use your first page to glue or tape in a couple of wonderful photographs that you have just taken to get your Diary in line with your talent.

If you are a Fashion Designer, try your hand at drawing out a nice fashion design on your first page.

If you need to learn how to love your "self", then you may want to use the first page of your Diary to list all of the wonderful things about your "self" and your life that you have taken for granted.

If for some reason you need to remember the important God relationship that you've neglected to tune into, then use your first page to write a soulful letter to God.

Here is something that you may find powerful for the first page of your Diary . . .

List all of the things in your life that you are grateful for.
