Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Six

BLOG SESSION
August 28th, 2017

Welcome back Blog Readers, Followers, Diary Writers, and Visitors ~ We are about to get back into our discussion about the benefits of writing daily diary entries.

In our last Blog Session we discussed Affirmations, and in particular, the ten Affirmations that personally resonate with you that you have written in your Journal.  The purpose of reading Affirmations and writing Affirmations is to help you to focus your mind on positive statements that will bring about positive changes in your life.

Please pull out your Journal at this time so that you may take notes from tonight's Blog Session . . .

Journal Notes

Tonight, we are going to bring back to your attention two questions that were put before you in our last Blog Session . . .

1)  What is it that you'd like to accomplish in your life?

2)  What is most important to you TODAY?

Take a moment to write the answers to those two questions down in your Journal.  Your answers should take you as long as your honest feelings need to relay what you feel.  There is no need to rush when writing your answers.  If you have several items that you'd like to accomplish in your life at this time, by all means, write them all down.

Whatever it is that you find important today, please write that down in your Journal as well.  There is no right or wrong way to write your answers to those two questions.  Frame your answers the way you like.

While some of us will answer the first question with answers that revolve around material objects, others of us will honestly focus on the accomplishments that are in line with career and/or education.  And, there are a few of us that will focus on Health and wellness.  Still others of us will focus on Family, children, and long-term goals that we'd like to see accomplished in our lifetime.  Whatever it is that you feel you'd like to accomplish in your life at this time, please write it down in your Journal.

The second question:   What is most important to you TODAY?

This calls for some thought on your part.  Here is where you will completely separate this question from the first question.  Your answers to the question about what you'd like to accomplish in your life should be different from your answers in response to the second question.  What you'd like to accomplish and what is most important to you today should be looked at from different points of view.

What you'd like to accomplish may end up being short term or long term.  What is most important to you today should be pin-point clear.

Whenever you make a to-do-list for example, you always scratch off what you have accomplished and taken care of once it is done.  You feel proud that you have taken care of some of the items that were on your to-do-list whenever you can see some progress.  The same holds true for those items in your Journal, as well as your daily diary entries.

Take a moment right now to pull out your brand new Diary, or your Diary that you have been writing in each day . . .

Personal Diary with Key

For those of you who are long-term planners, a Five-Year Diary may work better for you . . .

Five-Year Diary

For the Artists and Designers who are here with us tonight, you may find the following Diary page of interest . . .

Artistic & Creative Diary Page

The Diary Page seen above is an example of how the Diary of an Artist or a very creative person may look.  If you have a creative nature, you will find yourself doodling in your Diary or practicing your Calligraphy.

The main thing that you will take away from tonight's Blog Session is ordering your thoughts and narrowing your focus.  Your daily diary entries will take on a mind of their own, but if you have a focus in terms of what you want in your life, what it is that you seek to accomplish, and how you feel about your daily activities, you'll find that you will benefit from your writings.

Our next Blog Session will open your mind up even further.  We will focus on another aspect of daily living, and that happens to be our "dreams".  Our dreams are important, and what we have to learn to do is not dismiss them.

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Five ~ Affirmation Scroll

BLOG SESSION
August 27th, 2017

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer
 ~ Step Five ~
Affirmation Scroll

Welcome back Diary Writers, Authors, Poets, Photographers, Artists, Novelists, Designers, Travelers, and Creative people of the world!

We are about to continue our Blog Session on the benefits of Diary Writing.  If you are new to our Blog Sessions, then you'll need to get a Journal to take notes.  If you don't have a Journal, please grab a Notebook or a Notepad to take notes for today's Session.

At the end of today's Blog Session, you will have all of the tools needed to come up with an Affirmation that fits you perfectly for your personal Affirmation Scroll (like the one seen at the top of this Blog Session).

When we left off with our last Session, we were all to focus on an important Affirmation to help us with our daily diary entries.  That Affirmation is as follows . . .

"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

Considering the above Affirmation, all of the ten items on your list that you were asked to write down in your Journal from our last Session that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in your way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping should suddenly affect you less after you have focused on the above Affirmation.

The key line to consider in the Affirmation above all else is, "My future is mine to create."  Your future goals and plans are important and they are worthy of your attention.  You have a creative mind and a prosperous soul.  When you focus more on the beautiful things that you'd like to see happen in your life, you will find that you do not have the time nor the room in your life to focus on the negative factors that distract from the positive avenues that await you.  There are new people to meet each day.  There are new places to visit and discover.  There are ideas that you have that await your recognition and/or action.  You are a Winner, and no one can take that from you.

Regardless of what has happened in the past that you have been dwelling on, you must understand that "Your past does not define you."  Whatever negative event that has taken place, remember, it is over.  Step past it and push forward.  Your positive thoughts far outweigh your negative thoughts.  And, if that is not the case, then now is the time to fix it.  Think positive and create a new thought pattern if you have the tendency to focus on negative factors.

Another thing to consider is the people around you.  Are the people in your life negative individuals that weigh you down?  Condemning people, accusatory people, narcissistic people, depressed people, those who have drug addictions, hyperactive spasmodic people, and loud talking people can stress your nerves.  You don't need that in your life.  Imagine all of the negative factors in your life being placed in a suitcase . . .

Suitcase Visual

Take those ten items on your list that are negative, and place them in a suitcase in your mind.  Tag them, then put them on the plane of no return.  You are not to think about those items, nor entertain those items.  They are long gone!

Replace all that has been negative in your life with positive thoughts.  Remember, "what you dwell on you create".  If you must dwell on anything, dwell on the beautiful things that you'd like to have in your life.  Your hopes, your dreams, your abilities, your talents, your highest desires ~ dwell on that.  Take a moment to write down in your Journal all of the positive factors that you have going on in your life at this time.  Then list all of your talents, special "gifts", and abilities...
Journal your positives ~

Another key line from our Affirmation today is this . . .
"Today is a brand new day"

What is it that you'd like to accomplish in your life?
What is most important to you TODAY?

Of the ten (10) Affirmations that you wrote in your Journal that resonate with you, which one jumps out at you today?

If you did not come up with ten Affirmations that you like, then take a few moments today to search out Affirmations that inspire you.

TODAY, Choose one Affirmation for your Affirmation Scroll that you really feel deep in your soul moves you, inspires you, and/or motivates you!

Your Affirmation Scroll can be purchased in a blank state, or you can make your own personal Affirmation Scroll.  You can check out one of our Blog Sessions from the past to find more creative information about how to make a Scroll...

We're talking about making Scrolls ~ [Creative Scroll Project] ~ "Crafting your Scroll"

We'll be back with more for you to make a note of in your inspirational note-taking Journal, and next time, bring both your Journal and your personal Diary with you to the Blog Session.

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Four

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer
Step Four

BLOG SESSION
August 26th, 2017

Welcome back Diary Writers, Blog Readers, Followers & Visitors ~ We are now on Step Four of our Soul Travels of a Diary Writer Blog Session Series.

If you have your Journal ready to take notes, please pull it out.  We left off with each Blog Reader having the assignment of writing down twenty (20) items in their Journal.  The twenty items that should be written in your Journal are as follows . . .

You should have ten (10) Affirmations that resonate with you, and ten (10) things that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.

Those 20 items that you have written in your Journal are the reference points for you to refer to so that you may strike a balance in your life.  As you begin to write your daily diary entries, you will gain further clarity when you review your twenty reference points from your Journal.

Whenever you have Affirmations that resonate with you, it gives you an idea of what your soul desires may be.  That is the reason you were asked to gather ten (10) Affirmations and write them in your Journal.

Your Affirmations are meant to help you to erase the ten items that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.

Let's take one Affirmation from our last Blog Session as a demonstration . . .

"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

If one of your ten items from your list of things that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping was:  "I have guilt from not doing something a different way a year ago that has caused me problems ever since" ~ The above Affirmation should help you to erase your "guilt" feelings about that particular incident.

Of the ten items that you may have on your list, which of those items can stand up to the weight of the Affirmation that was just used in our example?

At this point, you should ask yourself the following question . . .

AFFIRMATION FOR TODAY:
"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

There is no issue, problem, or incident that the above Affirmation does not put to rest.

Just like anything else in life, repetition creates a habit, and habits tend to form your beliefs.  Do you believe that Affirmations work?

Please remember from our last Blog Session, the following Affirmation . . .

"It's the repetition of affirmations
that leads to belief.
And once that belief becomes a
deep conviction,
things begin to happen."
~ Claude M. Bristol ~

"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

We will leave off for today with the above Affirmation for you to focus on until our next Blog Session.  Say this Affirmation aloud after you have read your ten items from your Journal that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in the way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.  Then repeat the Affirmation aloud until your ten items dissipate.

Let's see what happens after we come back!

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Three

Soul Travels of a Diary Writer
Step Three

BLOG SESSION
August 25th, 2017

Welcome back Blog Readers, Followers, Diary Writers & Visitors ~  We are back here once again to get into a very enlightening Blog Session about Diary Writing.

Our Blog Session today will be focused on the "Soul Travels of a Diary Writer" . . . we are now on Step Three.

If you are a faithful Follower of this Blog then you know that we always come back here with our Journals ready to take notes . . .

Journal Notes

We left off with our last Blog Session talking about how you should understand the important point about how "Your future starts with YOU."

As we get ready to really focus on our Diary Writing, the most important point for you to take away from this Blog Session is that . . .

"You are the determining factor in how your life will unfold from this point forward".

If you have been writing in your Diary on a daily basis, then you are well on your way to running into a better understanding of who you inherently are.  The goal is to uncover the treasures within your soul.

Uncovering the Treasures of your Soul

If you have practiced meditation in the past, then you already know how relaxing keeping up a daily regimen of meditation time benefits you.  If you have never meditated in the past, then now is a good time to start learning more about how the combination of meditation and daily diary writing can help you uncover issues that you have buried inside of yourself, as well as help you to undercover the treasures of your soul.

Whenever you uncover issues that may be blocking you from seeing your way clearly, then you are well on your way to getting to the next step of your Soul Travels of a Diary Writer ~ Step Three ~ uncovering the treasures of your soul.

Having a list of positive Affirmations will help you to frame your mind for meditation and ultimately also help you to uncover your soul treasures.

An affirmation is the action or process of affirming a strong statement that is positive and uplifting.

Examples of Affirmations:

"WHATEVER
THE MIND CAN CONCEIVE AND BELIEVE
THE MIND CAN ACHIEVE"
~ Napolean Hill ~

"Today is a brand new day.
My past does not define me.
My future is mine to create."

"It's the repetition of affirmations
that leads to belief.
And once that belief becomes a
deep conviction,
things begin to happen."
~ Claude M. Bristol ~

Please make a note in your Journal that your assignment is to actively look for ten (10) Affirmations that resonate with you.

Also, please note in your Journal that Bible Scriptures are also great Affirmations.

Once you have found those ten Affirmations, then please write them in your Journal.

After you have found your ten Affirmations, then your next thing to do is to write down ten things that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in your way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.

Many people list items such as:

1.    Job Stress
2.    Children's behavior
3.    Unexpected Emergencies
4.    Care of Special Needs children
5.    Care of Elderly Parents
6.    Loss of loved ones (Grief)
7.    Financial Issues
8.    Important urgent decisions
9.    Contentious people in your life
10.  Personal Health Issues

*Those twenty (20) items are what you will work on and write in your Journal.

*  Ten (10) Affirmations
*  Ten (10) Items that have been on your mind that seem to be getting in your way in terms of getting clear, feeling at peace, or sleeping.

Diary Writer, we will continue our Blog Session tomorrow.  When we return, please have your twenty (20) items written in your Journal so that we may proceed with our next exciting step . . .
