The Diary for the ARTIST

Eye on the Diary for the Artist

BLOG SESSION
August 9th, 2017

Good Early Morning to all Diary Writers who have been following along on our Blog Sessions as we discuss various aspects of writing in your personal Diary.

Today's Blog Session will be a discussion that is focused on the Artists among us.  There are many talented people who have artistic abilities.  Many Artists consciously make use of their talent by creating artworks of various genres.  Some creative, gifted and talented individuals among us may not be actively utilizing their gifts for whatever reason.  So today, we're going to presume that everyone reading has some form of artistic talent.

Pay close attention if you have any of the following abilities:

1)    Painting

2)    Drawing

3)    Singing

4)    Song Writing

5)    Musician

6)    Writer

7)    Author

8)    Poet

9)    Photographer

10)  Journalist

11)   Designer

12)   Architect

13)   Film Maker

14)   Playwright

For those of you who like Arts & Crafts, you're included!

If you have your Journals handy, please make sure that you write down the items listed above for future reference.  Chances are, if you tap into any of the artistic areas, you can no doubt tap into other artistic areas.

If you say you cannot sing, it doesn't mean that you do not have the ability to be a Song Writer.  If you say you cannot read music, it doesn't mean that you cannot play music.  There are many people who play by ear.  Just the same as there are many Artists who have a natural gift to draw, paint, and create dynamic works of Art, without having gone to school to learn about drawing, painting, or creating dynamic artworks.

This Blog Session is about utilizing your personal Diary to tap into the Artist in you!

When you seek to purchase a Diary, the main reason you do so is to learn more about yourself, what you are thinking, what you are feeling, and the thoughts that are running your life.  We live our lives both consciously and unconsciously.  We sometimes forget that before we DO, we first think the thought that activates our action(s).

As you start your journey writing in your Diary, the suggestion for all of the Readers today is to tap into your artistic side.

Do not place a stopper on your "gifts" and "talents".  Recognize that you have them, and understand that you are to find out what those gifts and talents are and seek to work with them.  What you have inside of you is your Best Friend.  What you make of your gifts and talents will bring you the joy and happiness that you inherently seek and desire.

For the sake of understanding, do take a moment to sit quietly and think on what moves you to tears and/or stirs your emotions.  Is there a certain song that no matter when you hear it, you are moved by the words or the rhythm?  Is there a particular movie that really captivates you and stirs your emotions?  Is there a certain book that you love and you don't mind reading it over and over?  Is there a certain poem that sticks in your head, and you can remember it as if you had written it yourself?  If so, ask yourself why?

Take your answer an expound upon it in your Diary.
Your Personal Diary

Music and Visuals are powerful instruments, and they both evoke reaction.

So, dear friend please remember that words have power.  The words that are spoken as well as the words that are written.  Words live on in the mind, heart and soul after they have been spoken, and after they have been read.  For that very reason, your personal Diary is meant for you to understand you.  Your personal Diary is for your eyes only.  Your Diary is your therapy.

Be watchful of your words, because once you let the genie out of the bottle, you can't stuff the genie back in.

As you begin your writing in your Diary today, just simply make it a point of adding in one thought that crosses your mind out of the blue.  Take that one thought and let the thought lead you to write your feelings and emotions down in your Diary.  Then let those words rest for short span of time before you go back to your Diary to re-read those words.

I wonder what discovery you'll make when you go back to re-read what you've written?
