The Diary for Dreamers
BLOG SESSION
August 22nd, 2017
Good Evening Blog Readers, Followers, Diary Writers & Visitors ~ You have just stepped into another great Blog Session that will be nurturing for your soul and spirit. Tonight it is about speaking to all Dreamers who have been following along as we've discussed Diary Writing and all of its many benefits.
Many people dream on a daily basis. Some Dreamers remember their dreams clearly. There are others who do not remember their dreams. Then, there are those Readers who are following along who may in fact dream, but as soon as they awake their dream disappears like the wisps of the wind. There are others who dream and only remember fragments of their dream, or have incidents where parts and pieces of their dream may partially come back to their awareness either upon waking or during their daily activities.
How do I record my Dreams?
If you are really interested in learning how to record your Dreams, and get something meaningful out of your dreams, then the first thing you need to do is purchase a helpful Dream Diary or Dream Journal so that you may record your dreams as they occur . . .
Dream Diary or Dream Journal
After you have picked up a wonderful Dream Diary or Dream Journal to record your dreams in, you will have a version of a Dream Diary or Dream Journal that is already equipped with information lines for you to fill in or you will have to insert your own. If you make your own Dream Diary, then you can tailor it to fit your dream needs.
Following is a great example of Dream Diary pages that will assist you in recording your dreams in an orderly fashion so that you may remember the details of your dream. . .
Dreamer's Diary
The first item you will need to write down upon waking is a title for your Dream. If you dreamed about walking down a certain path, then you may want to give your Dream a title like, "Path Walker".
Next, you'll need to write down the date of your Dream, and the time. Being sure to record the date and time of your dream will help you later if your dream is prophetic.
You'll also need to write down the feeling that you had upon waking ~ i.e., did you feel happy, sad, scared, terrified, or peaceful?
Dream details will include everything that you can remember about your dream. Even if you think that certain parts of your dream are not important, write down each detail anyway.
Next, you'll need to write down the meaning of your dream as you see it. Ask yourself what do you immediately think that your dream meant? What comes to your mind after waking? As the day rolls on, are there any parts of your dream that jump out at you? If so, remember to write down what happened during your day that points to parts or details of your dream.
The Dream Symbols that appear in your dream are worthy of note. Don't forget to record each of your dream symbols. If you dreamed about drums playing, or snakes, or a very bright sun, or lots of grass or hills, be sure to make a note of those details.
Dream Symbols mean different things to different people. Depending upon where you were born, your belief system, what you were taught, what you do for a living, and/or what is in your subconscious mind ~ will frame what each dream symbol means to you personally. For instance, some people have a fear of snakes, while other people attach a different meaning to snakes. Some people believe that snakes represent enemies ~ while other people believe that snakes mean healing. Whatever the meaning of the dream symbol is for you personally is what you want to make a note of in your Dream Diary.
There are Dream Books that you can also purchase to help you with understanding the meaning of your Dreams. Dream Books will help you with expanding your thought process about your Dreams.
You may also find helpful Dream Dictionaries online to assist you with Dream Symbols, interpretations, meanings, and analysis of your Dreams.
NOTEWORTHY ITEMS ABOUT DREAMS FOR YOUR JOURNAL . . .
Journal Notes
1. Some people dream in color; others dream in black
& white.
2. Everyone Dreams.
3. There are some dreams that are common to many
people, such as "falling" dreams, "drowning"
dreams, and/or "running dreams".
4. Some dreams are prophetic and predict the future.
5. Premonitions of things to come: a strong
feeling that something is about to happen,
especially something unpleasant; "she had a
premonition of imminent disaster" ~ foreboding,
intuition, funny feeling, hunch, suspicion, a feeling
in one's bones, butterflies in the stomach, presage,
misgiving, apprehension, fear, presentiment.
[A feeling or belief that something is going to
happen when there is no definite reason to believe
that it will.]
6. Prophetic Dream: You see the future through
your dream. It is difficult to determine that a
dream is prophetic because we can only confirm
such a dream after it has taken place.
DREAMS
Taking your dreams seriously means that you are able to acquire a knowledge that you would not otherwise be able to tap into. Acquiring the ability to interpret your dreams is a very powerful tool. If you take the time to analyze your dreams, you will be able to learn about your deep secrets, as well as your hidden feelings, emotions, and fears.
Remember, you are the expert when it comes to your dreams. You are the best person to interpret your dreams primarily because your dreams are specific to you.
Every detail in your dream, even the most minuscule detail is important and must be considered when analyzing your dreams. Each symbol in your dream represents a feeling, a mood, a memory, or something from your unconscious.
Be sure to look closely at the people, characters, animals, objects, places, emotions, colors, and numbers that are depicted in your dreams. There may be people in your dreams that symbolize other people in your life with like features or characteristics. Even the most trivial symbol in your dreams can be significant.
Dreamers ~ If you have any questions, thoughts or comments that you would like to share here on the Blog with regard to Dreams, you may do so in the "Comments Section" at the bottom of this Blog.
