June 2017

It's another wonderful Blog Session today, and we are going to be discussing practicing the ability and skill of being calm in the midst of C r a Z y!

You'll need to get your Journals out for this Blog Session, because we'll have a lot of area to cover.  We were last here talking about "Insanity UnderWraps", including irrational people, abnormal behaviors, personality disorders, and abnormal psychology.

You were given a list of questions to add to your Journal, and a lot of background information for you to write down.

Crazy has a lot to do with people who are mentally deranged, especially as manifested in a wild or aggressive way.  Being deranged is defined as being mad and/or insane.  The mentally deranged primarily are those who have mental illnesses, which are health problems that affect the way a person thinks about their "self", how they relate to others, and how they interact with the world around them. Mental illnesses can affect our thoughts, feelings, abilities and behaviours. Depression and anxiety disorders are the most common mental illnesses.

While many people do not consider "depression" to be a mental illness, if left untreated, it can become a serious problem. Being depressed for long periods of time is not advised nor healthy. If a person or those around them feel that the depression has gone on for too long, it is time to seek professional help.

Depression

If you have a friend or loved one who is glum/somber all the time; never or rarely smiles or laughs; is negative about just about everything; sees no hope or future for theirself; feels as if no one cares about them; has suicidal thoughts; never wants to participate in doing anything for the most part; is angry for no apparent reason that you are aware of or that they want to discuss; or lashes out at the people closest to them in an intense fashion; and it has gotten to the point where no one cares to be in their company, then it is time for them to seek help.

Depression

Pay attention to individuals who have actions that are dark or dull in color or tone; act gloomy; and/or are in essence lifeless in countenance.  Ask yourself if you know what may be wrong with them.  Has there been a tragedy in their life? Have they had a death in their family?  Have they lost their job, home, vehicle, or something else near and dear to them? Are they bitter about something?  Do they have low self esteem?  Do they need to be in a Doctor's care?

A depressed person could possibly be helped if they had someone to talk to whom they trusted.  Maybe that person is you.

If you are able to talk to them, try finding out what is wrong.
Acting as if you don't know or see depressed people does not help them or your conscience.

"Don't you see me?"
(I'm everywhere.)
Depression in the midst

On the other end of the spectrum are those people who create drama in their lives and in the lives of those around them. They seem to somehow get some type of enjoyment out of making everyone around them crazy.  We are talking about those people who seek attention, no matter how negative that attention seeking may be.  I'm talking about the people who will make simple matters seem like catastrophes.

Also at that same end of the spectrum, there are those people who like to argue and who are contentious about anything and everything.  They have to have their way, and they have to be right.  Those are the ones who become extremely combative if you do not agree with them.  They turn into a tasmanian devil if they think they are losing an argument with anyone in their mind.

Tasmanian Devil

Now, there are times when a person like the one we've just described is laughed at and talked about, and everyone seems to think that the person who is the topic of discussion is a wee bit crazy like the Tasmanian Devil of cartoon days . . .

But, they are not funny.  Not funny at all.  They are irritating, and annoying.  We're talking about the type of people that wrack your nerves; you cringe when you see them coming; and you feel sick at the sight of them.  Why? Because you know there is nothing good to be expected from them.  There will be an endless back and forth intense talk about nothing of substance that is worthy of your time or attention.  These type of people are known as "Mud Talkers".

Mud Talker

What and Who are Mud Talkers?  They are the people who like to get down dirty in the mud and talk smack about nothing of substance.  And at the end of the discussion, you will be highly irritated, and you will have wasted your time and energy, and you will have absolutely nothing good to show for it.  Trust me, don't waste your time, and please don't take the bait and get in the mud with them.

Lets get back to our Blog Session Header ~

Have you ever been in the midst of two people who are going back and forth arguing at the top of their lungs?  Have you ever been in the middle of a family argument or a Team Argument about an issue?  Have you ever been in a one-on-one discussion with someone and the conversation or discussion turns into an intense Reality Show that you aren't receiving any compensation to be a part of?  If so, then here is some advice for you -- just like the man in the picture between the two women above -- stop, close your eyes, breathe in ~ breathe out, envision a peaceful scene in your mind, say a calming prayer, and let go of the negative energy that is building up -- (return to sender).  As soon as you are able, slowly rise and walk away.

If the person or people try to pull you back into the land of
C r a Z y, tell them you have to go to the bathroom.

Until we have our next wonderful Blog Session ~ Be calm, be cool, be blessed . . .

Peace, Love & Light,

 René
